Alexander Zverev
World No.3 Alexander Zverev has been impressive in his career. He has defeated the likes of World No.1 Novak Djokovic on a number of occasions. He has a win-loss ratio of 193-88 in hardcourt events. The 24-year-old captured 6 ATP titles in 2021, including ATP Finals. Overall, he has won 19 ATP titles but awaits his first major and the wait could come to an end in the Australian Open 2022.
Stefanos Tsitsipas
World No.4 Stefanos Tsitsipas made all the news when he made it to the semifinals of the Australian Open and finals at Roland Garros. He looked off-colour in Wimbledon & US Open but could win his first major at Australian Open 2022. He has a terrific 121-67 win-loss ratio in hard court events. He won a couple of ATP titles in 2021. Overall, he has 7 ATP titles to his name, including wins against Andy Murray, Alexander Zverev & Novak Djokovic.
Casper Ruud
Norway’s Casper Ruud has been quite impressive over the last 12 months. He captured a record 5 ATP titles in 2021. He will now be gearing up for his first major at the Australian Open. He has a 45-38 win: loss ratio in hardcourt events. He had reached round 4 of the Aus Open last year and the third round in the US Open.
Coco Gauff
Teen sensation Coco Gauff has been playing well over the last couple of years. She had made it to round 4 at Aus Open in 2020. She had also made it to the quarterfinals of the French Open & round 4 at Wimbledon twice. The 17-year-old will now look to script history by clinching her maiden grand slam. She needs to overcome the challenge of World No.1 Ash Barty & defending champion Naomi Osaka.
Leylah Fernandez
Canada’s tennis sensation Leylah Fernandez took everyone by surprise after reaching the US Open finals. She beat a number of star players including former champion Naomi Osaka, World No.2 Aryna Sabalenka during her journey but eventually lost to Britain’s Emma Raducanu in the finals. She will look to finally capture her first major at the Australian Open. Besides US Open, she has also made it to the third round at Roland Garros.
