Shreyas Iyer finally breaks his jinx. The dependable batter failed to gather good runs under his belt in the Asia Cup and his progress was hindered by a back spasm. Keeping everything at bay, in the IND vs AUS 2nd ODI, Iyer came out with all guns blazing as he took the task to the opposition. Iyer silenced his doubters with his 3rd ODI century from just 86 balls.
Batting with a strike rate of 170, Iyer hammered 6 fours to reach 34 runs from just 20 balls before the rain brought the game to a halt. Soon after he slammed 2 boundaries including a massive six to reach his fifty from just 42 balls. But he continued his carnage. He slammed 11 fours and 3 huge sixes to reach his 3rd ODI century and his very first at the Holkar Stadium.
