Asian Games: Swimmer Janhvi Choudhary has been named as a replacement player to the Indian squad for the Asian Games 2023. According to the Swimming Federation of India, the 19-year old replaces a suspended minor in the squad.

Janhvi Choudhary specialises in freestyle events. She will be competing in the relay event. She replaces a minor player who has been provisionally suspended by the National Anti-Doping agency. The suspended swimmer tested positive for 19-norandrosterone.
However, Janhvi Choudhary is not yet guaranteed of an official entry to the quadrennial event. According to a Swimming Federation source, she will require a clearance from the Sports Ministry to feature in the quadrennial event.
Asian Games Swimming Full Squad
The Asian Games will begin on September 23. It will go on till October 8 in Hangzhou, China. A total of 21 Swimmers will represent India in Swimming.
Srihari Nataraj and Sajan Prakash will lead the team in the Men’s section. Maana Patel headlines action in women’s section.
