According to recent speculations, the eagerly anticipated Asia Cup 2023 final will probably be moved outside of Colombo due to the city’s current bad weather. The final game of the tournament may be held at the Pallekele International Stadium in Kandy, as the September 17 weather forecast in Colombo does not appear promising.
Notably, the Pallekele international stadium in Kandy served as the site of three group stage contests, including the intense matchup between India and Pakistan earlier in the competition. While the first match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh was completed without a hiccup, rain ruined India’s two matches against Pakistan and Nepal.
But now as per TimesNow, Asia Cup 2023 Final will be moved to the Pallekele Stadium as Colombo is suffering from consistent rains.

While the match between India and Pakistan was called off due to weather, India’s final group stage match against Nepal went on to end in a ten-wicket DLS victory for the Men in Blue.
However, the weather is worse in Colombo, where the match between India and Pakistan was postponed due to nonstop rain. India, who were batting first, had reached a comfortable 147 for two in 24.1 overs when rain began to fall, ending any chance of further play.
As a result, the game will pick up where it left off on Sunday at 3 PM IST. It will be a 50-over game with DLS showing up in case the weather decides to ruin things once more.
