India gearing up to Reclaim Asia Cup title
Sri Lanka were declared the legitimate winners of the Asia Cup 2022 after defeating Pakistan in the championship match in September 2022. India was unable to make it to the final and were sent packing back home.
Losses to Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the group stage hindered India’s advancement. In September 2023, as the fight for Asian hegemony resumes, the Blues will be aiming to make a change.
Even though Pakistan is the tournament’s official host, it may not take place there because India is reluctant to send its cricket team to the neighboring nation. However, the six-time winners would make an effort to give India back the title in 2023.
