Asia Cup 2022 LIVE: Back from break, Virat Kohli begins practice for Asia Cup, ready to comeback with a BANG, Watch videoAfter prolonged struggled with his form, Kohli decided to take a break from cricket after the TOUR of England. Be it his childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma or Indian cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar all have offered to help Kohli.
“This academy is his own ground. Earlier, he did not have time but when he has got some time then he can spend some time with himself over here and practice. I would really love it if he comes here and he enjoys and feels comfortable in this place,” Virat Kohli’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma told ANI.
Gavaskar had told India Today: “If I had about 20 minutes with him, I would be able to tell him the things he might have to do. It might help him. I am not saying it will help him but it could. Particularly with regards to that off-stump line my advice can help”
Will Kohli shine in Asia Cup? Kohli could manage scores of only 11 and 20 in the fifth and final Test against Edgbaston and continued his bad performances in T20Is, where he could score only 12 runs in two innings.
This was followed by 17 and 16 runs in the three-match ODI series against England.
Also, Kohli had a sub-par IPL 2022. He could score only 341 runs in 16 games at an average of 22.73. His strike rate also has been going down by the day. In IPL 2022 he scored just with a strike rate of 115.98.
Now the question will be – will break from cricket do him any good? Will he shine in Asia Cup? Asia CUP cricket tournament has always been happy hunting ground for Kohli. He is one of the leading scorer in the tournament.
