Ashes 2023: Dinesh Karthik – Ahead of IPL 2023, Royal Challengers Bangalore batter Dinesh Karthik has confirmed he will return to commentary during Ashes 2023. Ashes will begin on June 16, and the RCB wicketkeeper batter will be one of the prominent names present along with Michael Atherton, Naser Hussain, Kevin Pietersen, and Eoin Morgan. This will be the first time Karthik will be part of the Ashes set to be held in England. Sky Sports announced a 21-member commentary team for Men’s as well as Women’s Ashes on Tuesday. Apart from Karthik, Mel Jones, Kumar Sangakkara, and Mark Taylor will join Sky’s regulars, with the likes of Ian Ward, Mike Atherton, Mark Butcher, and Nasser Hussain all providing analysis for the series.

Before the Ashes, Karthik will try to repeat the IPL 2022 exploits in this edition as well. The wicketkeeper batter was a revelation last season as a finisher as he scored 330 runs at a remarkable strike rate of 183. Karthik will yet again be a key player for RCB this season as the franchise hope to finally break the trophy drought.

RCB Jersey: Dinesh Karthik dazzles in Red and Black stripes in RCB’s new jersey
RCB also shared photos of skipper Faf du Plessis and wicketkeeper batter Dinesh Karthik. Both the senior players sizzled in Red & black stripes. RCB kick off IPL 2023 campaign at the Chinnaswamy Stadium against rivals Mumbai Indians. Faf du Plessis and Co start off with a string of home games, with a series of away games later in the competition. The blockbuster RCB vs CSK will be played on April 17, with Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni playing against each other.
