Ashes 2021 LIVE: David Warner punishes England after Ben Stokes’ big No-ball error

Stokes’ No ball

Stokes, who was late to join the England squad in Australia after taking a break to focus on his mental health, was also denied his first Ashes wicket when he overstepped the mark in the Adelaide Test in 2013. Australia wicketkeeper Brad Haddin was caught behind for 51 but went on to make 118 after his reprieve in a previous Ashes series. Australia won the series 5-0.

“Rory Burns couldn’t finish the job. That’s a big miss for England,” Mike Hussey said in commentary for Fox Cricket.

“It’s a dolly too. That’s as easy and as comfortable as you want them. It didn’t fly, it was waist height,” Allan Border added.

Haseeb Hameed miss run out

Haseeb Hameed missed a run out after the Australian slipped on the pitch. “I’m buying a lotto ticket if I am David Warner,” Border while reacting to the development.

Meanwhile, the bowlers looked tired despite England bowling 84 overs in the day. England premium bowlers Chris Woakes and Mark Wood looked off colour. Ben Stokes ended wicketless after no-ball.
