Ashes 2021-22: England wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler fought a lone battle on final day of the second Ashes 2021-22 Test in Adelaide against Australia before getting out in the most unluckiest fashion. Facing the 207th ball of his innings, Jos Buttler got to his backfoot and tapped a Jhye Richardson delivery towards point before starting to run for a single. However, he soon realised that he has clipped the bails with his right leg to get out HIT WICKET. Follow Ashes 2021-22 Live on InsideSport.IN.

The right-hander looked devastated after the dismissal as he looked on the broken stumps for a while before starting his long way back to the pavilion. The dismissal was even more unfortunate because Buttler was trying to pull off an improbable draw to keep England, who lost the first Test by 9 wickets, alive in the series.
What a way to end an epic innings! 😲

During his resilient knock, the 31-year-old played 207 balls to score 26 runs at an strike rate of 12.56. He forged partnerships with Ben Stokes, Chris Woakes, Ollie Robinson and Stuart Broad in the process.
England’s No. 11 James Anderson walked in next after Buttler’s departure and had an uphill task of facing final 23 overs of the match with his long-time bowling partner Stuart Broad on the other end. However, he could survive only 5 balls as Australia won the pink-ball Test by 275 runs to take a 2-0 lead in the 5-Test series.
The two teams will next meet each other at the Boxing Day Test starting December 26 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG)
