Arsenal Transfer: Whether Arsenal manage to win the title this season or not is still a doubt. However, they have managed to ensure a spot in the Champions League next season. In light of that, coach Mikel Arteta has decided on revamping the team. Reportedly, they will be selling a number of players, including Granit Xhaka, Kieran Tierney, and Folarin Balogun. They will be bringing in more players from the cash coming in from these sales. Follow Premier League LIVE Updates on InsideSport.IN.

Arsenal had one hand on the trophy when they started to lose points in consecutive games. The defeat against title rivals Manchester City might have doomed their chances for the Premier League title. However, even if they don’t win the league, they have cemented their place in the next year’s Champions League. Also, they will be participating in the Champions League after a five-year-long hiatus.

Hence, coach Mikel Arteta is determined to make his team the strongest. For that, he has planned on revamping and Arsenal will offload a number of players in the summer transfer window. They have already confirmed that Ainsley Maitland-Niles will leave the club at the end of this season as his contract expires. Reiss Nelson’s contract expires this summer as well and he has caught the attention of Aston Villa and Brighton.

However, still, the most surprising news from the Emirates is their wish to sell their star midfielder Granit Xhaka. He has been a regular starter for the Gunners this season and has proved himself to the coach. Arsenal are eyeing Chelsea’s Mason Mount and West Ham’s Declan Rice. Hence, if they sell Xhaka now as he’s still in good form, they will cash in enough to bring in their targets this summer.

Arsenal are also planning on selling Kieran Tierney. He has appeared for a total of 31 matches for the team throughout all competitions. His playing time has been quite low, so reportedly he was thinking of a move away from the club himself. He has been Arsenal’s second-choice throughout the season after Oleksandr Zinchenko. Newcastle United have shown some interest in the player and could make a move for him.

The third player Arsenal could be selling this summer is Folarin Balogun. Balogun has spent the entire season on loan to the Ligue 1 club, Reims. He scored an impressive number of 19 goals during 31 appearances for his team. However, he wouldn’t see much playing time even if he came back to Arsenal as Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah would be ahead in line. Hence, Arsenal could be selling him as they have already set a £26 million asking price on the talented youngster.
