Arjun Tendulkar’s father Sachin Tendulkar made his Ranji debut for Mumbai at the age of 15. He remained unbeaten on 100 off 129 balls with 12 boundaries and became the youngest batsman to reach triple figures on Ranji debut.
Why did Arjun Tendulkar decided to play for Goa?
Mumbai is considered to be one of the strongest teams in domestic cricket. Due to cut-throat competition getting picked for the team is increasingly difficult. The left arm played couple of matches for Mumbai in Syed Mushtaq Ai Trophy . However he failed to break into Mumbai Ranji Team’s team’s playing XI despite making it through to Ranji Trophy squad last season. The lack of opportunities resulted in Arjun Tendulkar taking the decision of shifting his base to the neighbouring state of Goa. The Jr Tendulkar is also part of Mumbai Indians team but is yet to feature for the five time IPL Champions.
