Following the full-time whistle, the Argentine players couldn’t hold back their emotions as they rushed to the middle of the pitch. The Argentine squad waved to a full 80000 crowd at the iconic Lusail Stadium. The joy of the players knew no bounds as they formed a circle in the middle of the pitch and executed a fine dance.
As Messi, Di Maria and other veterans joined in, it was Leandro Paredes who continued his dance in the middle of the circle. Following their dance, the teammates congratulated and motivated each other as the team is now ever determined to win the coveted final.

Argentina clashed against Croatia in a highly entertaining first semifinal. It was Lionel Messi who opened the scoring with a wonderful penalty just past the half-hour mark. Though a bit controversial, the referee pointed to the spot after Julian Alvarez was fouled inside the box by the opponent keeper Livankovic.

Up stepped Messi as he calmly lashed the ball into the back of the net. Minutes later, Julian Alvarez after picking up a ball from the heart of the midfield single-handedly ran past half the pitch to score a sensational solo goal. Argentina headed into the break with a 2-0 advantage, as a happy and contented side.
Back from the half, Argentina once again put their grip on the game to deny any momentum to Croatia. The little magician yet again wove his magic as he displayed tremendous dribbling skill to lay off Julian Alvarez as the youngster scored his brace. Argentina will now meet the winner of France vs Morocco in the finals of the World Cup on Sunday, December 18.
