Both the teams have won one trophy each this season; United won the EFL Cup and City with the Premier League trophy. City can take that number to 3 if they manage to win the FA Cup and UEFA Champions League. However, this will be United’s last chance to win a trophy this season.

Manchester United Team News For FA Cup Final

Manchester United have won 4 games in their last 5 played and are in fine form to take on the Premier League champions. United, who will be making their record 21st final FA Cup appearance, will have the chance to stop City from winning the treble. A feat, which only Manchester United holds among the English team.

However, that won’t be easy considering City’s form and United’s player injuries. Marcel Sabitzer, Donny Van de Beek, Tom Heaton, and Lisandro Martinez are already ruled out for the rest of the season. If that was not enough, Anthony Martial and Antony are also doubtful for the game. But the good thing is, Antony was spotted traveling with the team. Talking about positive news, United will be happy to see Marcus Rashford back in the squad, who played the last game against Fulham.

United have made multiple rotations recently in their team and still have managed to get results. Garnacho, Tyrell Malacia, Fred, and McTominay all got some game time in the recent few games, giving Erik Ten Hag multiple options to pick from.

However, Ten Hag might go with the squad which we saw for most of the season. The Dutch manager prefers to play in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Luke Shaw, Diogo Dalot, Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez in center. Now that Martinez is not available, Lindelof has filled in his shoes quite perfectly. In the midfield, Casemiro will be seen along with Eriksen.

The front three might look different with Sancho starting on the left and Rashford in the center if Martial remains on the sidelines. Bruno Fernandes will be seen playing the usual number 10 role.
