Anthony Joshua, Juan Mata & Co join Ryan Reynolds & invest in Alpine F1 team

Some big names from around the world have joined Otro Capital to invest in the Alpine Formula 1 team. They join other illustrious names like Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenny.

The Alpine F1 team is not having a great Formula 1 season. They have slipped from 4th to 6th in the standings, and have not enjoyed a great season off track either. Several key personnel have either been ousted from the team or left themselves. However, they do find something to be happy about. Earlier this year, they sold a 24% stake to a consortium formed by Otro Capital. This involved Maximum Efforts Investments as well, featuring Ryan Reynolds. Now, big names from the sports world like Anthony Joshua and Juan Mata have joined the consortium.

New Names from the World of Sports

Several big names have joined Ryan Reynolds and Co. in their investment into the Alpine F1 team. These names include:

  • Anthony Joshua: A Boxer and Former World Heavyweight Champion
  • Juan Mata: A Prominent Footballer who won the World Cup with Spain
  • Travis Kelce: Super Bowl Winner
  • Rory Mcllroy: 4-time Golf Major Winner
  • Patrick Mahomes: Another Super Bowl Winner
  • Trent Alexander-Arnold: An English Defender who also won the Champions League with Liverpool

The consortium that bought this stake in Alpine F1 is led by Otro Capital. However, it also includes groups like RedBird Capital Partners and Maximum Efforts Investments. Ryan Reynolds is part of the latter. Hollywood actor Michael B Jordan joined the investors.

They have collectively bought a 24% stake in the Alpine F1 team for $200 million. This is a huge testament to the growth of Formula 1 as a sport.
