They were up against World No. 2 pair of Lee SoHee & SHIN Seungchan of South Korea. The young Indian pair lost the 1st game tamely by 14-21 and cameback to win the next 2 games.

India’s Lakshya Sen has entered Semifinals of All England Badminton Championships. China’s Lu GuangZu gave Lakshya a walkover due to injury in the last match. Lakshya SEN in Semifinals: Lakshya will now play the winner of Lee Zil Zia of Malaysia vs Kento Momota of Japan for place in the finals on Saturday.

Can Lakshya break 21 years jinx? Lakshya’s coach and mentor Prakash Padukone  won the All England title in (1980). Pullela Gopichand was the last man from India to win the prestigious title in 2001.

Satwik & Chirag LOSE in Quarterfinals: Meanwhile, men’s doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty lost to top seed Marcus Fernaldi Gideon and Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo of Indonesia 22-24, 17-21.

The Indians were leading 20-15 in the first game before the Indonesians fought back to win the game 24-22. In the second game, the Indians fought hard and it was a see-saw battle till the 15th point before the Indonesians raced ahead to win the match.
