- The 2022 Syed Modi International Badminton champion will be vying to win her first silverware at the BWF event after clinching the Syed Modi International title to end her trophy drought.
- World No.7 Sindhu is placed in the same quarter as Saina Nehwal, second-ranked Akane Yamaguchi and Thailand’s Pornpawee Chochuwong.
- Sindhu had lost her last semifinals clash against Pornpawee Chochuwong at the All England Open Badminton in 2021.
- Prakash Padukone (1980) and Pullela Gopichand (2001) are the only Indians to win The England badminton title.
All England Championship is the only trophy missing from Sindhu’s illustrious cabinet. The 26-year-old from Hyderabad has won two silver and two bronze medals before securing the gold medal at the 2019 World Championships in Basel. She has also won a silver (2018) and bronze (2014) medal at the Commonwealth Games in women’s singles besides the team gold three years ago.
