Al Nassr’s commanding 4-0 home victory against Al Raed has maintained them in the Saudi Pro League championship race. Ahead of a difficult finish to the 2022–23 season, Cristiano Ronaldo’s team cut the title deficit to leaders Al Ittihad to three points, albeit their opponents still have a game in hand.
After just three minutes in Riyadh, Ronaldo gave the hosts the lead when he confidently headed in Sultan Al-Ghanam’s cross for his 12th league goal of the year. Despite Al Raed showing signs of resistance on both sides of the break, Abdulrahman Ghareeb’s composed finish on minute 54 effectively put an end to the game as Al Nassr cruised to victory.
The home side produced a final flourish in the closing 10 minutes, as three of their substitutes combined for two late goals. Jaloliddin Masharipov teed up Mohammed Maran for goal No. 3, before the Uzbekistan international was on hand to assist Abdulmajeed Al Sulaiheem, for a brilliant fourth.
