Al Nassr had won five of their last six home games across competitions, scoring 19 goals. Al Duhail had won its last two away games across competitions, scoring four goals and conceding once.

Al Nassr started the game confidently and scored early to take the lead. Anderson Talisca unleashed a right footed shot from the centre of the box to the bottom left corner. The Al Duhail goalkeeper turned into a mere spectator as the ball rippled the net. The goal was assisted by Cristiano Ronaldo.

Al Nassr doubled their lead soon after the start of the second half as another star Sadio Mane got on the score sheet. The Senegalese placed a perfect right-footed shot from the centre of the box to the bottom right corner.

Cristiano Ronaldo then joined the party as he scored the third goal for the Saudi side. Ronaldo produced a left-footed shot from outside the box which landed in the top left corner of the goal.

Al Nassr was cruising 3-0 when two quick goals from Al Duhail ensured a nervy end to the encounter. However, Ronaldo scored his second goal of the match to ensure the two-goal cushion was restored. The Portuguese had one of those rare matches where he scored both goals with his weaker foot.
