AIFF Meeting: M Satyanarayan, secretary of the Karnataka State Football Association, is appointed as the new AIFF deputy secretary-general, a position that has been vacant since Sunando Dhar stepped down. Satyanarayan will advise Shaji Prabhakaran on the best course of action. The appointment was made during today’s inaugural annual AGM of AIFF Ex Co, presided over by Kalyan Chaubey.
The executive committee and state units of the All India Football Federation were requested to raise the issue of Kalyan Chaubey’s extravagant expenditures, which included the abandoned 2027 AFC Asian Cup bid process, during the EXCO meeting on Monday and the AGM on Tuesday.

By Monday, the majority of state members had registered their presence, while the EXCO members had already arrived in Bengaluru for the meeting on Monday.
Sunando Dhar, who served as the deputy general secretary of AIFF (All India Football Federation), was relieved of his responsibilities on February 20, 2023. Anil Kamat, the assistant general secretary, assumed the duties previously held by Sunando Dhar.
According to sources, there was no appointment made for the vacant deputy general secretary position. Kamat, who had been associated with AIFF for over twenty years and had overseen various tournaments, took on additional responsibilities, including roles concerning the national team. However, now M Satyanarayan will be vacating this position now.
