IPL 2023 – RCB Green Jersey: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have revealed all the details about the matchday on which they will don their famous green jersey in Indian Premier League 2023. In the 32nd game of the ongoing IPL, RCB players will sport green jerseys. On April 23, the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru would play host to the Rajasthan Royals (RCB vs RR).
In 2011, as part of their “Go Green” campaign to promote environmental sustainability and raise awareness of ecological issues, RCB launched the green jersey.
Since 2011, Royal Challengers Bangalore have participated in one IPL match wearing a green shirt, except for the 2021 season when they wore a special blue jersey in support of the frontline workers.
RCB will play in their green jerseys for the first time since 2019 at their actual home ground in Bengaluru. In 2020, 2021, and 2022 season matches were held in separate locations behind closed doors or with a reduced audience capacity due to the COVID outbreak.
Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell in Green Jerseys
On Wednesday, RCB posted a picture of some of its players wearing green jerseys to Twitter. The advertising photo that designated the team’s home game against RR as their first “Go Green” match of the season included captain Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, and Dinesh Karthik.

The Faf du Plessis-led team will play Delhi Capitals (DC), the four-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK), and Punjab Kings (PBKS) on April 15, April 17, and April 20, respectively, before taking on Rajasthan Royals.
