Virat Kohli BIPOIC: After MS Dhoni, looks like it’s time for the biopic on another former India captain – Virat Kohli. The ‘RRR’ famed Telugu superstar Ram Charan who has now become a household name has expressed his wish ahead of IPL 2023 to portray the role of Kohli in the cricketer’s biopic. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni already has a movie named ‘M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story’ in which late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput featured in the main role. And now former Royals Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Kohli could also get his movie soon.
Ram Charan burst into international fame with SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR. Song ‘Naatu Naatu’, which stars Ram and Jr. NTR, has won Oscar in the Best Original Song category. Ram has had a variety of on-screen roles, but the actor has stated that he would like to be a part of a sports biography.
He continued by saying that, given the chance, he would adore playing former Indian captain Virat Kohli.
Ram Charan to play Virat Kohli’s Role?
“I would like to play anything to do with sport. It’s been a long due. Maybe a sports-based film,” When questioned about a character he would love to play, Ram responded positively.
At the India Today Conference, when Virat’s name was recommended to him, the actor said: “Fantastic, he is an inspiring soul. I think given a chance, it will be fantastic as I look similar also.”

Cricketers and Biopics
Bollywood has found huge success with sports biopics in the past. Given that cricket is the most popular sport in the nation, biopics about former Indian captains MS Dhoni and Kapil Dev, such as “MS Dhoni” and “83,” have performed exceptionally well at the box office.
Mithali Raj’s biopic ‘Shabaash Mithu’ and upcoming Jhulan Goswami’s biopic titled ‘Chakda Xpress’ tells the story of legends of women’s Indian cricket team.
