Earlier Conor McGregor had made a statement on Ngannou as how he should have stayed in UFC and how Conor felt like the fight between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou would not be taking place, to be precise his exact words were, “I don’t see that [Ngannou vs Fury] happening either. I just think there’s too many better fights available for the [boxers]. The heavyweight division is buzzing. They’ve got so many fights. I wish him well, and I’m happy for him, and he got equity and all the rest of it, but he should have stayed [in the UFC]. So more power and all the best.”

After the news of the potential paycheck for Ngannou was released Conor changed his statement, and expressed his excitement for the matchup he said, “I’m interested. Let’s see how it goes. I’ve not heard much about it but I’m happy for Ngannou, fair play to him. What weight is Tyson? Is he in shape? Anything can happen in there, so I wish them both well and I’m excited to see it.”

Errol Spence, too thought initially that the matchup between Furu and Ngannou was a money-grabbing event more than a potential fighting event.

During a press conference, Spence told the news reporters,  “It’s definitely fattening his pockets and Francis’ pockets, too. I feel it’s more of a money play than anything. It’s like Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor. It’s more of a money play.”

Recently, Errol Spence tweeted on Twitter “I am not mad at all Get your money, my guy”

IFL TV shared a post that stated confirmation of the rematch between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngnnou on October 28th.
