According to Tony Khan, AEW has broken the previous record for the most tickets sold for a pro wrestling show for a single event. The ‘Real’ World Championship was one of the matches on the bill, with champion CM Punk defending the title against Samoa Joe. The London audience has so far liked the spectacle.

In a brutal battle against ROH Television Champion Samoa Joe, CM Punk prevailed in retaining his “Real” World Championship. The Second City Saint, however, paid tribute to other WWE stars throughout the contest.
Since their Ring of Honour days, Samoa Joe and CM Punk have been engaged in a fierce rivalry. After The Best in the World defeated The Samoan Submission Machine to advance to the Owen Hart Foundation tournament finals, tensions between Punk and Joe recently flared.

Punk employed a variety of techniques to try to put Samoa Joe to sleep during his match at All In and also borrowed techniques from legendary wrestlers like John Cena, Terry Funk, and Hulk Hogan.
The video shared on X received numerous reactions from the WWE Fans, as they commented:

Punk used John Cena’s side-slam to knock Joe to the ground before executing the five-knuckle shuffle and the notorious running leg drop, which is the signature move of the late Hulk Hogan.
The Pepsi Plunge, which Punk hadn’t used in a while to defeat Samoa Joe and retain the ‘Real’ World Championship, was the manoeuvre that ultimately paid off.
Punk and Joe have engaged in a number of noteworthy matches over the past 20 years. They expanded the lengthy list by including one more exciting game. CM Punk acknowledged two WWE pro wrestling veterans, John Cena and Hulk Hogan, to make the match more memorable.
