With the famous three stripes covering the shoulder, the new training kit is sky blue in colour. The kit sponsor’s logo is on the right side, and the BCCI logo is placed on the left side of the chest. Additionally, both arms’ sides have the three stripes. Notably, BCCI officially announced Adidas as its new kit sponsor a few days back. Team India jerseys will be produced and designed by the sportswear company until 2028.

On May 31, Killer Jeans’ contract will end, and Adidas will take over the manufacturing of the Indian team’s jerseys. MPL sponsored India’s uniforms before Killer Jeans. Killer, a clothing brand took over the kit sponsorship from MPL, which sought to terminate its 2023 contract. The MPL paid the Indian board 6.5 lakh each match and 9 crores in royalties for a three-year agreement.

The Indian team will wear the new jersey for the first time during the summit clash against the Australia. The initial two batches of Indian players departed for the UK after the Indian Premier League 2023’s league matches and the first two playoff games. Following the IPL final on Sunday, the final batch of players will fly to the UK on May 30.

The new Adidas sponsorship agreement was revealed on Monday by BCCI secretary Jay Shah. “I’m pleased to announce @BCCI’s partnership with @adidas as a kit sponsor. We are committed to growing the game of cricket and could not be more excited to partner with one of the world’s leading sportswear brands. Welcome aboard @adidas,” Jay Shah announced on Twitter.
