Rohit Sharma warns pitch invaders

No one should go inside the ground. Players’ security is important. Even security of fans is important. You have to respect the rule for a particular country,” Rohit Sharma said.

As per reports, SWAT teams with specialist snipers and plain clothes policemen will be operating at various parts of the ground. The latest security deployment could prove to be dangerous for both pitch invaders and players.

In India’s warm-up match against Bangladesh, a fan who invaded the pitch to meet Rohit Sharma was tackled, pinned down to the ground and handcuffed by officers. The individual was then escorted out of the ground by the officers. The enhanced security measures for the IND vs PAK game also comes after a threatening message along with a poster from a pro-ISIS group.
