Afghanistan thump Uganda to register third biggest win in T20 World Cups

T20 World Cup: Afghanistan recorded the third largest win in T20 World Cup history after beating Uganda by 125 runs at Providence on Monday. In the Group C fixture, T20 World Cup debutants Uganda was bundled out for 58 runs in reply to Afghanistan’s 183/5. As a result, Afghanistan won the game by 125 runs. Sri Lanka secured the largest win by runs in T20 World Cup history when they defeated Kenya by a whopping 172 runs in Johannesburg. Sri Lanka posted a mammoth total of 260/6, and Kenya couldn’t keep up with the required run rate, eventually getting all out for 88 runs.

South Africa vs Scotland (T20 World Cup 2009)

The Proteas are at the second spot, with a 130-run victory margin over Scotland in the 2009 T20 World Cup. In 2021, Afghanistan levelled with the South Africans by registering a 130-run win over Scotland in Sharjah.

Afghanistan vs Uganda (T20 World Cup 2024)

Afghanistan trounced Uganda by 125 runs in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 on Tuesday. This was the third biggest win in T20 World Cup history.
