Rohit Sharma has beat teammate Virat Kohli and broken Mahela Jayawardene’s record of hitting the most fours in the T20 World Cup. The former Sri Lankan skipper held the record for over a decade as he retired from the sport after winning the 2014 edition of the event.
Before the India vs England semifinal, Rohit was second on the line. However, after hitting his fifth boundary of the day, he surpassed Jayawardene and took over the mantle as the player with the most fours in T20 World Cup history. Before the T20 World Cup started, Virat Kohli was set to take the record, but a poor campaign has seen him get pushed to third.
