IND vs BAN: India get quality practice against unqualified Bangladesh

Virat Kohli missed out on India's only T20 World Cup 2024 warm-up match but with Bangladesh offering hardly any competition, India cruised to a 62-run win.

IND vs BAN Live Score: Rohit Sharma & Co warm up for T20 World Cup with a 62-run win over Bangladesh. But in the only warm-up match, India did not face any quality from the opponent. The batters had it easy barring Shoriful Islam’s opening spell while the bowlers had a day out with the new ball until Shakib Al Hasan and Mahmudullah offered some resistance with a 75-run stand. But they could not deter a rout for India anyway.

Earlier, India posted 182/5 in 20 overs after opting to bat. Rishabh Pant (32-ball 53) and Hardik Pandya (23-ball 40) powered India to a competitive total in their first outing in New York City. In the only practice-match before T20 World Cup, Rohit Sharma opted to bat against Bangladesh. However, Virat Kohli missed out having just arrived in New York 12 hours earlier.
