Mumbai City FC on Saturday announced the signing of FC Goa skipper Brandon Fernandes. The Indian midfielder signed for reigning ISL champions on a three-year deal, with an option to extend for a further season.

The team has been performing brilliantly over the last few years, and I am thrilled to join such a talented squad. I am eager to contribute by scoring goals and assisting my teammates in the upcoming season as we strive to secure more silverware,” Fernandes said in a statement after signing for the Islanders.

A successful chapter comes to an end
Brandon played 7 seasons for FC Goa, signing for the Gaurs in 2017. The midfielder made 130 appearances for FC Goa, scoring 17 goals in the process. He has won numerous trophies with the club including Super Cup in 2019, the ISL shield in 2019-20 and the Durand Cup in 2021.
Brandon also holds the record for providing the most assists in FC Goa’s history with 31. He had a brief stint with Mumbai City FC in 2015 earlier.
