Laura Wolvaardt leads, Tazmin Brits eyes return
Laura Wolvaardt will captain the Proteas in both ODI and Test formats against India Women Cricket Team. The team receives a significant boost with the return of experienced all-rounder Nondumiso Shangase and wicket-keeper Mieke de Ridder.
Opener Tazmin Brits, who has been recovering from a knee injury, has been named in both squads but her participation will depend on her fitness assessment before the team departs.
Injuries cause setbacks for South Africa women
Unfortunately, South Africa will miss some key players due to injuries. Notably absent are batter Lara Goodall (hamstring) and Chloe Tryon (back), whose recurring injury issues have plagued her for several years. Young seamer Ayanda Hlubi is also sidelined with a groin concern.
