IPL 2024 has ended and now the cricket craze turns to the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. The T20 World Cup is starting today, as in the warm-up matches. But there is no hype around the matches. As a matter of there is no live streaming of the games. Though it is a bigger World Cup, in terms of more teams participating in it, but it surely isn’t better.
Canada starts the first warm-up match ahead of the tournament as they take on Nepal. While the world readies itself of the T20 World Cup, the craze and hype around the tournament is yet to start. In general, it is much subdued. This is mainly owing to the fact that India who has the most viewers is saturated.
With the IPL 2024 ending yesterday, the fans are taking a little break before they start cheering for the Men in Blue. Before the ICC event starts on 2nd June, 17 teams are taking part in the warmup matches with South Africa playing an intra squad match.
No Hype
As the cricketing extravaganza kick starts today, there is no hype around the tournament. One of the main reasons for the same is the no access to live streaming. Since there is no live streaming of the warm-up matches, the fans are not interested to watch these games. As a result there is a huge dip in the hype of these warm-up matches.
However, in India the ICC T20 World Cup matches will be live streamed on Disney+Hotstar. On the other hand, the matches will be live broadcasted on the Star Sports Network.
