Rajasthan Royals are gearing up to take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2024 Qualifier 2 at the iconic Chepauk Stadium. The winner of the clash will go on to face Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2024 Finals. The scene outside the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai today ahead of SRH vs RR IPL 2024 Qualifier 2 is quite different from what it was during the IPL opener. So is the IPL 2024 fever already over?

Empty streets ahead of SRH vs RR

Despite the match being scheduled at 8.00 PM, and at 2:00 pm, the streets were bustling with CSK and RCB fans, but now they’re empty. However, there’s still plenty of time left before the match begins.

Despite the quietness, there’s an underlying excitement in the air as fans eagerly await Qualifier 2. Even though the stadium is empty for now, the anticipation is building up slowly.

A spot at IPL 2024 Finals at sight

Following their defeat to Kolkata Knight Riders in Qualifier 1, the Sunrisers led by Pat Cummins are set to challenge Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan Royals, who clinched victory against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Eliminator, granting them another opportunity to secure a spot in the title clash. The upcoming Qualifier 2 promises an intriguing showdown as the formidable bowling prowess of one team collides with the destructive batting lineup of the other, each vying for a coveted place in the IPL 2024 final.

Hyderabad concluded the T20 tournament’s league stage in second position, amassing 17 points with a net run rate of 0.414, having triumphed in 8 out of 14 matches. Meanwhile, Rajasthan finished third in the league standings, also securing 17 points with a net run rate of 0.273 after winning 8 of their 14 matches.
