BCCI share update on Champions Trophy

The Champions Trophy 2025 may still be a year away, but the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is already making ambitious plans for the event. With an ICC tournament returning to Pakistan for the first time since 1996, the anticipation is understandably high. The PCB has even proposed Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore as the venue for the much-anticipated India vs Pakistan clash.

However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) appears cautious. According to a recent statement by BCCI Vice-President Rajeev Shukla, it is too early to make definitive plans. Speaking to ANI, Shukla emphasized, “In the case of the Champion Trophy, we will do whatever the Government of India will tell us to do. We send our team only when the Government of India gives us permission. So we will go according to the decision of the Indian government.
