Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s win over Chennai Super Kings in the do-or-die tie on Saturday was made even more special due to the presence of the universal boss Chris Gayle at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. After the game, RCB pacer Mohammed Siraj was seen paying his tribute to Gayle by saluting him from the ground. The beautiful moment went viral after being captured and uploaded on social media.
Gayle an RCB legend
Gayle has had immense contribution for RCB. He played seven seasons for the Bengaluru outfit, scoring 3163 runs in seven season including two 700+ run seasons. Moreover, he helped RCB reach the IPL final in 2016.
Gayle before the match had said he hoped to be the impact player for RCB in the crunch tie and that proved right. He also said that it was good to see Chinnaswamy Stadium’s roof, which was damaged quite a bit by Gayle’s fiery blows, has been changed.
Every time the camera panned towards the ‘universal boss’ during the game, the crowd chanted his name. However, the highlight of Gayle’s visit came when after the match, Mohammed Siraj went over to the part of the stand Gayle was sitting in and saluted and blew kisses towards the RCB legend. Gayle reciprocated in similar fashion.
