SRH’s former captain, David Warner, and RCB’s former captain, Virat Kohli, proudly hold the record for making the most runs in the IPL.
Speaking about Kohli, his best season came in 2016 where he scored 973 runs with a strike rate of 152.03. Which is still the best by any player in this league. On the other hand, the captain who gave Sunrisers Hyderabad their first trophy, David Warner, also had an outstanding performance in the same 2016 season, scoring 848 runs with an amazing strike rate of 151.42.
KL Rahul is not behind
KL Rahul is one more player who is slowly and steadily coming at the top. Although his strike rate has remained under scrutiny, but surely as an opener, he has done wonders in the IPL.
His best came in 2020 where he was dominating the bowlers. Rahul scored 670 runs that year with a strike rate of 130, which is decent in T20 format.
