As per a report from Cricbuzz, the Indian Cricket Team is slated to have just a solitary warmup match ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup. The report claimed that the ICC wants to host the game in Florida, but the Men in Blue are unwilling to travel and then return to New York where the team would be staying.
As a result, Team India would prefer to play their warmup match in New York itself. Apart from getting some much needed warmup and practice, the team can also get a vivid understanding of the pitch and the ground conditions before the start of the mega tournament.
