DC vs LSG Player Ratings: Delhi Capitals edged out Lucknow Super Giants by a narrow 19-run margin in a tense IPL 2024 encounter. It was the last match of the season at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi.
Abhishek Porel’s fifty and Tristan Stubbs’ late hitting got DC to 208 runs. LSG’s chase started on a worst possible note as Ishant Sharma’s hurt them significantly. He took three wickets quickly. DC’s bowlers held their nerve in the death overs to secure a crucial win and stay in playoff contention.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG)
Quinton de Kock (2/10): The experienced opener continued his sluggish form and was dismissed on 12.
KL Rahul (3/10): After his episode with owner Sanjiv Goenka, all eyes were pinned on KL Rahul. Unfortunately for him, the LSG skipper failed, thus putting early pressure on the LSG chase which they were never quite able to recover from.
Marcus Stoinis (2/10): Surprisingly Stoinis didn’t get an opportunity to bowl but did nothing with his willow. Batting at number three, the mighty Australian threw his wicket away inside the powerplay.
Nicholas Pooran (9/10): Tried his best to carry the LSG innings with a breathtaking knock of 61 off a mere 29 balls. However, he lacked support from other batsmen and eventually fell short of the target.
Deepak Hooda (1/10): He was rapped onto the pads following a great inswinger by Ishant Sharma, thus getting him out on a duck. His only over in the game also saw him leak nine runs.
Ayush Badoni (1/10): The youngster was expected to do well as he was playing on his home ground, Delhi. However, Badoni faced nine balls only to make a six-run contribution.
Krunal Pandya (5/10): A disappointing performance all-around for the experienced all-rounder. Failed to contribute significantly with either the bat or the ball. He made run-a-ball 18 but needed to convert his start.
Arshad Khan (9/10): Inarguably the best LSG player in the game. While he went away for 45 runs in his three overs, the young all-rounder grabbed eyeballs following his explosive knock. He made a 25-ball 50 and kept LSG in the hunt till the end.
Yudhvir Singh (8/10): Another youngster who impressed was Yudhvir Singh Charak, who played a handy cameo of 7-ball 14 down the order.
Ravi Bishnoi (7.5/10): It was a typical Ravi Bishnoi outing, where he kept things simple and tight. He gave away runs at a miserly economy rate of 6.5 and took the wicket of Shai Hope. Bishnoi, however, dropped a couple of catches.
Naveen-ul-Haq (7/10): Despite getting two important wickets in Porel and Pant, Naveen-ul-Haq leaked the most runs (51) in the entire match. His variations were off the best vs DC.
Mohsin Khan (8/10): The left-arm pacer was great as he gave away only 29 runs in his quota of four overs.

Tristan Stubbs (9.5/10): A superman knock from the South African! Stubbs rocketed runs at a strike rate of 228 to make 57 off 25. It was his innings that proved to be a differential one for DC.
Axar Patel (5/10): Made a contribution of 14* runs with the bat. He started well with the ball as well, taking the wicket of Marcus Stoinis before getting smashed for 20 runs in five balls by Pooran.
Gulbadin Naib (5/10): Didn’t have much to do in the game apart from the one over he bowled, where the Afghani all-rounder leaked 9 runs.
Rasikh Salam (8/10): Despite giving 30 runs in his three overs, the youngster once again impressed with his composure. His last over saw him gave away just three runs.
Mukesh Kumar (8/10): Mukesh has certainly been the best death bowler for Delhi this season. He was at it once again, bowling a match-winning 19th over, where he gave away just six runs.
Kuldeep Yadav (8/10): Kuldeep bagged the wicket of Krunal Pandya. The chinaman varied his lengths superbly and finished the spell with 1/33.
Khaleel Ahmed (7/10): Despite failing to get a wicket with the new ball, Khaleel plucked a crucial wicket at the death.
Ishant Sharma (9.5/10): The last but not the least! Ishant Sharma received the Player of the Match for his exceptional new-ball bowling. He danced LSG batters on his tunes and took away 3 key blows while leaking 34 runs.
