Rajat Patidar should have been ahead of Shivam Dube as a finisher in India Squad for ICC T20 World Cup

Shivam Dube has got his chance in the India Squad for the ICC T20 World Cup. On the other hand, despite a strong IPL 2024 campaign, Rajat Patidar was overlooked. In USA and West Indies, were pitches are on the slower side, stats has shown that Patidar is well verse to play spin compared to Shivam Dube.

Shivam Dube – The Rampage Maestro

Shivam Dube has arguably been the best finisher in IPL 2024. He has single-handedly finished games for Chennai Super Kings. But there is a catch. Despite hitting 28 fours, and 28 sixes in IPL 2024, Dube has consistently struggled against spin. Used heavily as an impact player, Dube has slammed 389 runs in 13 innings with a decent average of 39.

But Dube has been good batting in the death overs. He has consistently bludgeoned the pacers, where he slammed 24 fours and 20 sixes. But against, spin the records are drastically poor.
