The former Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain has been the epitome of consistency in the last few years, scoring runs at will and being the face of Indian cricket. A new feather is set to be added to Virat Kohli’s crown on Sunday when RCB take on Delhi Capitals. Kohli will become the first player in the history to play 250 matches for a single franchise in IPL.

While Virat Kohli has already played more than 250 matches for RCB considering the 15 matches he played for the franchise in CLT20, he will complete the feat in IPL.

Kohli has been a pillar of strength for RCB since IPL’s inception in 2008. In 17 seasons so far, he has scored 7897 runs at an average of 38.71. He is currently the Orange Cap holder in the ongoing IPL 2024. The Indian batter has scored 634 runs in 12 matches so far at an average of over 70. He is scoring the runs at a strike rate of 153.51.
