GT vs CSK Player Ratings: Here’s how players fared in Match No. 59 as Gill & Sudharsan notch hundreds

With their triumph against Chennai Super Kings, the Gujarat Titans have done multiple franchises a favour keeping in the mind the stacked IPL 2024 points table

GT vs CSK Player Ratings: The Gujarat Titans (GT) steamrolled past the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to record a 35-run win in Match 59 of IPL 2024 in Ahmedabad on May 10.

On a great batting track, Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan racked up the joint-highest opening partnership ever (210) as GT post a humongous first-innings total of 231/3.

CSK were rocked early as the match was almost finished within the powerplay only. While Daryl Mitchell and Moeen Ali showed some fight, it wasn’t to be for CSK.

GT vs CSK Player Ratings: Did any player score 10/10?

Chennai Super Kings (CSK)

Ajinkya Rahane (1/10): A poor campaign for the Indian veteran continued as he made a subpar 5-ball 1.

Rachin Ravindra (1/10): The Kiwi youngster was unfortunate to get run-out in the first over of CSK innings.

Ruturaj Gaikwad (1/10): Although Gaikwad has a superb record against GT, he failed this time. The CSK skipper recorded a three-ball duck.

Daryl Mitchell (8.5/10): Undoubtedly the best batsman for CSK on the night. Mitchell hammered superb hits but couldn’t make over 63 runs.

Shivam Dube (7/10): After two consecutive ducks, Dube finally scored some runs but needed to fire in all cylinders to give any hope for CSK.

Moeen Ali (8/10): The Englishman was involved in a superb 109-run partnership alongside Mitchell and played a great hand with his 36-ball 56.

Ravindra Jadeja (5/10): It was an off day at the office from Thalapathy, who failed to inspire with either ball or bat.

MS Dhoni (5/10): The legend did smash three sixes but it was too late for the visitors. Having said that, the crowd in Ahmedabad had something to remember for a lifetime.

Mitchell Santner (4/10): Opened the bowling for CSK but was put away easily by Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan.

Shardul Thakur (8.5/10): On a day where CSK leaked runs at a rate of 11.55, Thakur was wily enough to have an economy rate of just 6.2. The Indian all-rounder was indeed the biggest positive for CSK from their loss.

Simarjeet Singh (2/10): It was a forgettable night for the young pacer, who lacked any sort of threat. The leaked 60 runs in his four overs.

Tushar Deshpande (8.5/10): Alongside Thakur, Deshpande was superb as well. The pacer took two prized wickets as he ended the figures with 2/33.

Shubman Gill (9/10): The GT skipper batted with authority right from the word go. He scripted history by notching up the 100th IPL century in history. While he entire innings was a sight to behold, Gill, however, made only 11 runs off the last 11 balls he faced.

Sai Sudharsan (9.5/10): The young southpaw struggled a bit in the powerplay. He was at 39 after his first 29 balls but then unleashed himself to club 64 runs in the next 22 balls he faced. En route to his fabulous ton, Sudharsan even became the fastest Indian to 1,000 IPL runs.

David Miller (8/10): Miller scored 16 off 11 which was decent but proved to be a remarkable fielder in the game as well.

Rahul Tewatia (5/10): Tewatia didn’t get any chance to bat or bowl in the game but took a good catch to dismiss Rahane.

Shahrukh Khan (5/10): Played 3 balls to score two runs before getting run-out on the last ball.

Matthew Wade (6/10): Didn’t get any opportunity to bat but kept the wickets well as usual.

Rashid Khan (8.5/10): His figures were hampered by the two sixes hit by Dhoni in the last overs. Otherwise, Rashid was quite effective vs CSK as he took the wickets of Jadeja and Santner.

Sandeep Warrier (7.5/10): Looked decent as he took 1/28 in his three overs.

Noor Ahmad (5/10): Moeen Ali took apart the Afghani spinner as he smashed three consecutive sixes. Due to this, Noor leaked 25 off his two.

Umesh Yadav (8/10): A great operator with the new ball, Yadav took the prized wicket of Gaikwad.

Karthik Tyagi (6.5/10): The youngster failed to contain the CSK batsmen but impressed with his rapid speeds.

Mohit Sharma (9/10): A match-winning bowling effort by the former CSK pacer. With 3/31 after bowling the 13th, 15th, 17th and the 19th, Mohit proved to be a class act for GT.
