Pacer Mayank Yadav is all set to be brought under the supervision of BCCI, secretary Jay Shah revealed on Friday. The LSG pacer has been on the sidelines owing to an injury and missed many games despite making a short comeback in a game and being on the sidelines yet again. Amid rumours of Yadav getting a BCCI contract, Jay Shah informed that the pacer will the supervised and monitored by the NCA.

“Mayank Yadav joins a group of emerging pace bowlers without annual retainers, including Akash Deep, Vijaykumar Vyshak, Umran Malik, Yash Dayal, and Vidwath Kaverappa. These bowlers will receive continuous monitoring and support from the National Cricket Academy (NCA) medical staff, reflecting the BCCI’s commitment to nurturing burgeoning bowling talent in the country,” a Cricbuzz report states.

Yadav is expected to work with biomechanics expert Troy Cooley at the NCA. Not just that, he could well be on his way to Australia in June itself, for the India A tour, prior to the Test series, that begins on November 22.
Mayank Injury Concerns
After impressing with his speeds over 155 kmph, Mayank first suffered a side strain in his third match itself. Then in his last match vs Mumbai Indians, he did make a comeback, but suffered the same injury again. Also, he all but sure to receive a fast-bowling contract by the BCCI.
