It’s all nice and dandy! There is no ill will between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) owner Sanjiv Goenka and captain KL Rahul. Despite having what seemed like a spat after the SRH vs LSG match, the two main men of the franchise have decided to put aside their differences for the betterment of the team.
KL Rahul to remain as LSG captain
Amid rumours swirling around that KL Rahul will step down as captain, an LSG source has told IANS that “everything is fine between the two” and “only Rahul will be leading the team this season.”
The anonymous source also claimed that rumours of Rahul stepping down are baseless and that claims that he won’t be retained by the Lucknow Super Giants are wrong. Whatever issues KL Rahul and Sanjiv Goenka had aren’t there anymore, and Rahul is resting before their next match against the Delhi Capitals on May 14.
“It’s all rumours that Rahul will be displaced from the captaincy and won’t be picked in the auction. The last match didn’t go our way, but everything is fine now between the team and owners. Rahul is in good space and taking rest before the game against DC,” the source added.

What happened between KL Rahul and Sanjiv Goenka?
After the Lucknow Super Giants were thrashed by the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Uppal Stadium, the franchise’s owner let KL Rahul know about his dissatisfaction with their performance. He was visibly angered by his team’s shoddy display and let it all out of his skipper.
A 10-wicket defeat in just 9.4 overs would anger anyone, but to go berate Rahul in front of everyone wasn’t right. After realizing his mistake, Goenka allegedly apologized to him, and the two buried the hatchet.
