Rohit Sharma has been struggling in IPL 2024. With captaincy already taken away from him, the Mumbai Indians opener hasn’t contributed much with the bat. Apart from one solitary century, Rohit has no 50+ score and is averaging exactly 30 after 12 games.

To make matters worse, he also has no time left to improve his batting with MI already being knocked out. So, what has Rohit Sharma decided to do to get back into rhythm? Take a much-needed break. India’s jersey for the T20 World Cup 2024 was released on May 6, and Rohit Sharma has finally worn the official kit for the mega-event in the USA and West Indies.
Rohit has been playing non-stop cricket since December last year. He played a 2-match Test series against South Africa in December-January and then switched formats to play a 3-match T20I series against Afghanistan in January. He then spent the next two months (January to March) playing a 5-match Test series against England.
If that wasn’t enough, Rohit Sharma rested for just a week and then moved to the Mumbai Indians’ training camp. To reset things, he’s decided to don India’s jersey at the T20 World Cup 2024 photoshoot.
