Last three years have been totally dominated by batters
As mentioned in the list, the last three years have been totally dominated by batters in this cash rich league. In 2021, we witnessed 1062 sixes in 16269 balls, with the most sixes hit by Rajasthan Royals opener Jos Buttler (45). On the other hand, season 2023 registered 1124 sixes in 15390 balls.
IPL 2024 touches 1000 sixes!
This year is no exception like any other, as this season also IPL touches more than 1000 sixes. Looking at this season’s stats, most of the sixes have been hit by Sunrisers Hyderabad batters. Especially SRH’s Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma, as they are looking lethal to date.
It will surely be interesting to see how many sixes in total we are going to witness. Is the 2023 record in danger, or not? It will be interesting to see.
