MI vs SRH Player ratings: Here’s how the players fared in match number 55 of IPL 2024

Mumbai Indians recorded a much-needed win on Monday as they eased past Sunrisers Hyderabad by 7 wickets courtesy of a special show by Suryakumar Yadav

MI vs SRH Player ratings: In a much-needed win for the Mumbai Indians, they defeated the Sunrisers Hyderabad by a convincing 7-wicket margin in Match 55 of IPL 2024 on May 6. This victory snapped their four-match losing streak and gave a slender boost for their playoff hopes in the IPL 2024 season.

The hero of the match was undoubtedly Suryakumar Yadav. Chasing a target of 174 runs, SKY displayed a batting masterclass, scoring a brilliant century (102*) off just 51 balls. His knock was laced with 12 fours and 6 sixes, leaving the SRH bowlers with no answers.

Earlier, Hyderabad, after electing to bat first, could only manage 173/8 in their 20 overs. Openers Travis Head (48) provided a decent start, but the middle order failed to capitalize. It was Pat Cummins’ late cameo (35* off 17 balls) that helped them reach a somewhat respectable total.

MI vs SRH Player ratings: SKY and Pandya shine, Rohit flops again

Mumbai Indians (MI)

Ishan Kishan (3/10):
It was another low score (9) for the Indian wicket-keeper. He edged one to the slip and missed out on a big score. Kishan, however, took a great diving catch to dismiss Abhishek Sharma.
Rohit Sharma (2/10):
Rohit Sharma has been a shadow of a player since his century vs CSK. It was another poor show by the Hitman, who made only 4 runs on the night.
Suryakumar Yadav (10/10):
The Man of the Match. Absolutely dominant century (102* off 51) saved the day for MI. Wickets were tumbled early on but SKY played a scintillating innings despite looking in discomfort.
Naman Dhir (1/10):
The youngster endured a tough night as he delivered a painstaking nine-ball duck.

Tilak Varma (8.5/10): Provided an excellent support to Surya with a handy 25 runs and took a crucial catch of Travis Head.
Hardik Pandya (9/10): The MI skipper finally turned jeers into cheers and regained his bowling form back. He took 3/31 in the first innings.
Tim David (5/10): The mighty Australian turned out to just be a spectator in this game. He neither bowled or got a chance to bat in this tie.

Piyush Chawla (8/10):
Three wickets (3/32) along with economical bowling makes it a valuable contribution.
Jasprit Bumrah (7.5/10):
One wicket (1/27) and kept things tight throughout his spell.
Anshul Kamboj (7/10):
Despite leaking 42 runs, Kamboj looked impressive on his debut. He took his maiden IPL wicket in the form of Mayank Agarwal.
Nuwan Thusara (6/10):
The Sri Lankan was erratic in his line and lengths majorly and failed to get any wickets against SRH.
