We are inching closer to the T20 World Cup 2024. As each day goes by, the craze for the mega-event also increases. Despite IPL 2024 being in full flow, many have shifted their entire focus to the tournament scheduled to begin on June 1. Ever since the India cricket team announced their preliminary squad, discussions over right and wrong inclusion have been going on. As if this wasn’t enough, a fan has now leaked the image of India’s ‘official’ jersey for the T20 World Cup 2024.
India’s T20 World Cup 2024 jersey leaked?
According to the now-viral post, Rohit Sharma and Co. will don an orange-blue kit for the blockbuster tournament in the USA and West Indies. The front of the jersey will be blue, while orange with white stripes will be used for the arms. A tri-color collar resembling the Indian flag can also be seen, with ‘India’ spelled in bold on the front as well.
The viral post doesn’t show the backside of the jersey, but the logos of BCCI, Adidas (official kit sponsor), and Dream 11 (lead sponsor) are visible on the front.
Although not the same, the jersey may be a throwback to India’s 2019 ODI World Cup, where the Men in Blue donned a dark blue and orange jersey for their match against England. Unlike that jersey, the color scheme for India’s alleged T20 World Cup 2024 jersey is light blue and orange here, but the idea seems similar.
