The United States, which will co-host the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup with the Caribbean, has revealed its 15-man squad for the tournament. The USA team will be captained by 31-year-old wicket-keeper batsman Monank Patel. The team includes some well-known players in addition to standout performers from their recent T20I series victory (4–0) over Canada.
Corey Anderson in the mix
Corey Anderson, a member of the New Zealand team that finished as the runners up in the 2015 World Cup, recently guided the USA to a commanding victory over Canada. The United States’ chances of performing well in the T20 World Cup are improved by Corey’s inclusion. The team has been placed in Group A alongside Pakistan, India, Ireland and Canada.
Ali Khan fit to feature
Fast bowler Ali Khan missed the Canada series due to a hamstring injury. He has been cleared to compete in the tournament, which is a positive sign for the team’s bowling resources.
