Rohit Sharma injured before T20 World Cup? Former MI skipper to play as impact sub in MI vs KKR match

Rohit Sharma has had no injury issues so far in the IPL 2024 season and even attended yesterday's practice session.

The last thing the India cricket team wanted was their skipper, Rohit Sharma, injured. Playing against the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede Stadium, the former Mumbai Indians captain hasn’t been included in the main playing XI. The opener, who is their second-highest run-scorer in the IPL 2024 season, has instead been included in the impact substitutes list.

Rohit Sharma suffers back surgery?

Former Chennai Super Kings player and two-time World Cup winner, Suresh Raina, claimed that Rohit has been used as an impact player due to his stiff back. This does not bode well for the Mumbai Indians or the Indian cricket team.

Mumbai needs Rohit Sharma to win their remaining four matches to have a chance to make the IPL Playoffs, while Team India is scheduled to play their first T20 World Cup 2024 match on June 5 against Ireland.
