Sunrisers Hyderabad pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar turned the clock back to display his lethal prowess with the ball in the game against Rajasthan Royals. The veteran bowler held his nerves to get a wicket off the last ball as RR required 2 runs to win the game. Kumar’s performance comes two days after he was left out of India’s 15-member squad for the T20 World Cup.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar reminds world of his prowess
It all began in the first over of RR’s run-chase as Bhuvi did what he does the best – wreaking havoc with the new ball. He first got rid of Jos Buttler, who came in as an impact player, for a golden duck. His next victim was skipper Sanju Samson who was castled by a brilliant delivery. With these two strikes, Bhuvneshwar reminded all about his ability to torment batters in his very first over.
The final nail in the coffin was also hammered by Bhuvneshwar Kumar. RR required two runs from one delivery to win the game, with Rovman Powell on strike. Bhuvi bowled a full toss to trap the batter in the crease for a LBW, helping SRH clinch a nail-biting win. Bhuvneshwar finished the game with figures of 4/41.
