MS Dhoni arrives in Dharamshala in style as Chennai Super Kings eye revenge on Punjab Kings

To remain in contention for a playoff spot, Chennai must win at least three of their remaining four matches

Former CSK captain and icon MS Dhoni has reached the Dharamshala ahead of the PBKS vs CSK game. The Chennai Super Kings are coming off a 7-wicket loss against Punjab Kings and revenge will be on their minds when they face them on 5th May once again.

MS Dhoni sported a cool look for the airport dressed in the classic yellow shirt and grey denims. The IPL outfit shared a photo of the icon along with those of captain Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Shivam Dube among others.

‘Den to Dharamshala’ the caption read.

MS Dhoni’s stellar form in IPL 2024

MS Dhoni’s batting in IPL 2024 has been nothing short of phenomenal, proving once again that he’s the master of finishing a match. The veteran cricketer is on the brink of hitting 250 sixes in the IPL, a testament to his consistent power-hitting ability. Dhoni’s staggering strike rate of 229.16 over ten games has had a significant impact on CSK’s performance this season.

Although Dhoni experienced a minor setback against the Punjab Kings—where he was run out on the final ball after scoring 14 off 11—his value in leading CSK through critical moments hasn’t diminished.

Since the tournament became a 10-team competition two seasons ago, teams have required at least 16 points to finish in the top four after the league round and advance to the next round. To remain in contention for a playoff spot, Chennai must win at least three of their remaining four matches.
